Setting sail from the southern port of Vlihada early in the morning & following the coastline we reach the red beach in Akrotiri, one of the most beautiful beaches of the island with a distinct red coloration caused by the rich in minerals & iron soil. Then we head to the white rocky beach, where you have access only by boat. A stop for swimming and snorkeling is highly recommended since is difficult to resist to the crystal clear blue waters with the rich underwater environment & reefs. Leaving the white beach & heading to the Venetian lighthouse, we sail below the Indian Rocks through caves & rock formations, characteristic to the Aegean landscape.
If you don’t have a boat, you can easily rent one or hop on a day cruise at Athinio, Gialos or Ammoudi, and take a tour around the caldera.
