Santorini is accessible from most international airports via Athens’ International Eletherios Venizelos whereby the subsequent flying time via differing local airlines takes 40 minutes.
During the peak summer period, from May to October, charter flights from a range of European and worldwide destinations fly directly to the island. For those looking to arrive by sea, there are numerous ferry boat and high speed options both from Athens and further afield in Greece available to travelers.
How to reach the hotel after having arrived in Santorini:
Upon reaching the island, guests have several transportation options available to them.
1. Local Bus
Although this is not recommended, it is the cheapest option, the bus stops at Perissa (Mermaid bus stop), from where you have to walk to the hotel.
2. Local Taxi
Although this option is recommended, unfortunately the island suffers from a shortage of taxis which makes finding one either from the airport, port or other place rather difficult especially during the peak season.
3. Mini Bus transfer
We can arrange a mini bus transfer which costs 25 Euro for 2 persons and 5 Euro for the extra person and is the most recommended alternative.
4. Rental Car
We can also arrange for a rental car whereby both the car and a representative from the rental company will await you either at the port or airport.
In the case of the mini bus, you need to inform us of your arrival time and flight number. Please note that two days notice is required for this service.
